Samsung Galaxy Note9 is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S8, having an 87.1 score against 81.7. The Samsung Galaxy Note9 construction is newer than the Samsung Galaxy S8's, but it's thicker and heavier. The Galaxy Note9 has a bit better processor than Samsung Galaxy S8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Galaxy Note9 also has more RAM memory.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 features a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Note9, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1440 x 2960, the Samsung Galaxy S8 also counts with a quite better pixels quantity in each inch of screen. Galaxy Note9 counts with a superior storage capacity for applications and games than Galaxy S8, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB and 128 GB internal storage capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 features superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has a 33% larger battery capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Note9 features a little bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy S8, and although they both have the same back camera sensor size, the same 3840x2160 video definition and a 12 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 also has a bigger diafragm aperture for better images in low light situations and higher video frame rate.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy S8. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Galaxy S8, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your money.
