Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is just a bit better than Xperia XZ2, having an 81.7 score against 79.1. Even though the Samsung Galaxy S8 is older than Xperia XZ2, it's construction is way lighter and incredibly thinner. Samsung Galaxy S8 features a little sharper display than Xperia XZ2, because it has a better 1440 x 2960 resolution, a higher quantity of pixels per inch of display and a bit larger screen.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 counts with a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy S8. Both of them have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM amount. Xperia XZ2 counts with a little bit better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Xperia XZ2 also has a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 400 GB.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 shoots clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not so good for taking pictures and/or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also counts with a bigger sensor providing a higher image quality, a back-facing camera with a way better resolution and higher video frame rates.
The Xperia XZ2 counts with a little better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has 3180mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
