Comparison review

IPhone 8 is a little bit better than Galaxy S9, getting an 85 score against 83.3. The iPhone 8 body is somewhat thinner and just a little lighter than the Galaxy S9, although both were only released with a couple months difference. IPhone 8 has a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S9, because although it has 2 GB lesser RAM memory and 2 less and slower CPU cores, it also counts with a 64-bit CPU.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 has a bit better looking screen than iPhone 8, because it has a bigger display, a way higher 1440 x 2960px resolution and a much greater screen pixels density. The Galaxy S9 captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Apple iPhone 8, and although they both have the same video frame rate, a 12 MP resolution back facing camera and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Galaxy S9 also has a larger camera aperture for better low light images and videos and a bigger sensor which gives a better image and video quality.

The iPhone 8 counts with a bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S9, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. Galaxy S9 counts with a much better battery duration than Apple iPhone 8, because it has a 65% more battery capacity.

Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy S9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy S9. So if you want that extra features, you can buy iPhone 8, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy S9, resigning some specs and features.
