Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, getting a general score of 84.2 against 78.1. Although the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro is notably heavier than the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, it's a bit thinner and incredibly newer. Both of these phones have Android operating system, but Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has newer 14 version and Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has Android 11 version.
Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a bit higher quantity of pixels per screen inch, a lot higher 1080 x 2400 resolution and a bigger screen. The Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 counts with a way better processing power than Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, although it has lesser RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro counts with much more memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity. Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro takes much better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is worse for low-light captures and video, it also counts with a way higher 50 MP resolution back camera and a much higher video quality.
