Comparison review
The Galaxy A8 Star has a score of 82.1, which is a little bit better than Galaxy XCover Pro's 81 global score. Both devices we compare here come with Android operating system, but Galaxy A8 Star has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy XCover Pro has Android 11 version. Galaxy A8 Star's design is much thinner and lighter than Galaxy XCover Pro, despite of the fact that it was released about 17 months before.
Galaxy XCover Pro has just a bit better display than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Galaxy XCover Pro also has a quite greater screen pixels density and a slightly better 1080 x 2340px resolution. Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro features just a bit bigger memory for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro also has a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 512 GB.
Galaxy A8 Star counts with a processor that is very similar to Galaxy XCover Pro's CPU, and although the Galaxy A8 Star has a greater amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. Galaxy XCover Pro counts with just a little bit longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 9 percent bigger battery capacity.
Galaxy A8 Star captures clearer videos and photos than Galaxy XCover Pro, because although it has a back camera with way less mega pixels resolution, and they both have a same size camera aperture, the Galaxy A8 Star also counts with a much bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing lot better quality photographs and videos and a much higher video definition.
