Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is much better than the Xperia 5, getting a general score of 91.1 against 81. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is a much thinner but way heavier phone than Xperia 5. Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition has a more vivid display than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a little bit worse pixel number in each screen inch, it also counts with a better resolution of 1968 x 2184px and a really larger screen.
The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition features a lot bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia 5, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage. The Sony Xperia 5 counts with a lot better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, although it has 10 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores.
Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition has a much longer battery lifetime than Xperia 5, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity against 3140mAh. Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition captures much better videos and photos than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for low light photography and videos, it also counts with a much better resolution camera in the back.
Although Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xperia 5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Xperia 5. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Xperia 5, letting go a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
