HP Veer 4G is a bit better than the Sony Ericsson Cedar, getting a 40.5 score against 37.4. HP Veer 4G's design is somewhat heavier but just a bit thinner than the Sony Ericsson Cedar, and they were only released with a couple of months difference. The HP Veer 4G counts with a sharper screen than Sony Ericsson Cedar, because it has a quite better quantity of pixels per inch of screen, a better 400 x 320 resolution and a larger display.

The HP Veer 4G features a much powerful processor than Sony Ericsson Cedar, because it has an additional graphics processor and a greater number of cores. HP Veer 4G has a little bit better camera than Sony Ericsson Cedar, because it has a much more megapixels back facing camera. The HP Veer 4G features a lot bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Sony Ericsson Cedar, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 7,72 GB more internal storage.
