Comparison review

HTC Hero S is a little bit better than Sony Ericsson Xperia Active, with a 55.8 score against 50.8. Both phones we compare here work with Android OS, but HTC Hero S has 2.3 version and Sony Ericsson Xperia Active has Android 4.0 version. Even though HTC Hero S and Sony Ericsson Xperia Active were released only 3 months apart, the HTC Hero S design is thinner but also heavier than Sony Ericsson Xperia Active.

The HTC Hero S features a bit better looking screen than Sony Ericsson Xperia Active, because it has a much higher 960 x 540 pixels resolution, a way larger screen and a higher display density. The HTC Hero S features a bit faster processor than Sony Ericsson Xperia Active, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC Hero S also counts with a larger amount of RAM.

The HTC Hero S features a greater camera than Sony Ericsson Xperia Active. Both of them have the same resolution back facing camera, the same (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates. The HTC Hero S counts with a much greater memory capacity to store more apps and games than Sony Ericsson Xperia Active, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 32 GB, the HTC Hero S also has more internal storage capacity.

HTC Hero S counts with longer battery lifetime than Sony Ericsson Xperia Active, because it has a 1520mAh battery size against 1200mAh.
