CAT S42 has a score of 59.4, which is a bit better than the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S's 54 overall score. The CAT S42 design is a lot newer than the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S's, although it is a lot thicker and way heavier. Both of these phones use Android operating system, but the CAT S42 has the newer 10 version while Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S has Android 4.0, so it provides the user some nice extra features and performance improvements.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S has a little sharper screen than CAT S42, although it has a just a little lower pixel amount in each display inch, a way worse resolution of 854 x 480 and a lot smaller screen. The CAT S42 features a much bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S, because it has more internal storage and an external SD slot that admits up to 128 GB.
The CAT S42 counts with just a little better performance than Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with a greater number of cores (and also faster) and more RAM.
