CAT S42 Review

CAT S42 is a good cellphone launched back in the year 2020, featuring a very fast Quad-Core processing unit running at 1800 MHz, a large 5.5 inches screen, and two cameras, a 13 MP back facing camera and a 5 megapixels front facing camera. But let's get into much more details.

Even though the CAT S42 just has 6.34 inches long and 3.03 inches wide, it is still able to fit a a 5.5 inches display. Cat didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 7.76 ounces phone.

This device is equipped with a high performance 1800 MHz Quad-Core processing unit, included in a MediaTek Helio A20 system chip and a great 3 GB of RAM. This phone has a large 32 GB internal memory and an external SD slot, which allows you to install hundreds of apps without thinking about filling it.

The CAT S42 features two cameras, a 13 MP back-facing camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. This device can also shoot videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD).

The CAT S42 has a good level 5.5 inches display with a 720 x 1440 resolution, making everything look great.

The CAT S42 has Wi-Fi connectivity (and it can be provided to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G LTE-A really quick data connection and also HSPA+ data connection (a bit slower 4G technology) and the fastest 3G connection type, supported by HSDPA and HSUPA technologies. This device has two Nano SIM cards so it's able to work with two different carriers or phone lines at the same time.

This cellphone has a 4200 mAh massive non-replaceable battery that can keep it running for many hours and even reach the end of the day without charging it at all. An issue to evaluate is that the CAT S42's battery is not replaceable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it starts to have trouble holding its charge, while with such a great capacity you will probably replace this phone before that becomes an issue.

The CAT S42 also comes with plenty of great features such as NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your cellphone close to another NFC device or tag), Bluetooth, GPS Navigation and FM Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This phone is being sold for around $ 280, which is not cheap for this type of phone. This cellphone is the right choice it doesn't matter whether you are looking for a phone for work, want this device majorly for social networks and internet browsing or are looking for a gamer phone.
