Xiaomi Mi-2S Review

Xiaomi Mi-2S is a powerful Android cellphone, counting with a medium 4.3-inches touch-screen, a high performance Quad-Core processor ticking at 1700 MHz, and 2 cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back side camera and a 2 megapixels front camera.

Xiaomi sells this phone with a very powerful 1700 MHz Quad-Core processing unit, included in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 system chip and a huge 2 GB RAM memory. Collaborating with graphic calculations, this cellphone also counts with an Adreno 320 GPU working at 400 MHz. A nice advantage of this device is the 16 GB quite large internal storage memory and though it doesn't have an external SD slot, it is enough to install hundreds of games and applications, although it may not be suitable if you are fan of the heaviest games currently available.

Xiaomi didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 5.11 oz device. This cellphone's thickness , 0.4 inches, is a bit far from current standards, but it still feels quite right in the user's hand. The Xiaomi Mi-2S is a very compact cellphone, taking into consideration it presents a 4.3 inches display and it only has 4.96" long.

The Xiaomi Mi-2S has two cameras, an 8 MP back side camera and a 2 mega-pixels front camera. It also films videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 frames per second, and HD 1280x720 slow motion videos at 90 frames per second. This cellphone also features flash.

This cellphone is equipped with a beautiful 1280 x 720 (HD) 4.3 inches display, which makes all images and videos look absolutely great. This display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and can detect multi touch gestures.

This cellphone uses a medium capacity 2000 mAh Li-Ion removable battery, which is not really enough for a demanding phone like this.

The Xiaomi Mi-2S counts with Wi-Fi capability (and it can provide it to other devices around, acting as a mobile hotspot), 4G (HSPA+) internet connection, that is not as fast as LTE-A or LTE networks and 3G fast internet connection, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Xiaomi Mi-2S uses a SIM card for GSM networks.

This phone also includes some nice features as Bluetooth, GPS Localization and Radio, and multiple sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This cellphone may be a little bit overpriced considering it is offerred for 169 dollars, and many similar phones are being sold cheaper than that.
