Xiaomi Mi-2S Review

Xiaomi Mi-2S is a great Android cellphone, equipped with an exceptional Quad-Core processing unit clocking at 1700 MHz, a 4.3 inches multi touch display, and two cameras, a 13 mega-pixels back camera and a 2 mega-pixels front side camera. Xiaomi decided to power this cellphone with a high speed 1.7 GHz Quad-Core processing unit, packed into a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chip with a great 2 GB RAM memory. Graphic calculations generally eats lots of processing time, so the Xiaomi Mi-2S also uses an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit clocking at 400 MHz to improve overall performance. The Xiaomi Mi-2S counts with a 32 GB huge internal memory and although it doesn't have an SD card slot, it is still enough to store hundreds of apps and even the largest games available nowadays without thinking about how much storage is left.

This phone is quite slim and practical, but it's not close to being one of the thinnest cellphones nowadays, with a thickness of 0.4". The Xiaomi Mi-2S only has 4.96" long and 2.44" wide, but it's still able to fit a a 4.3" screen. Apparently Xiaomi decided not to care much about the weight in this 5.11 oz cellphone.

This phone has a gorgeous 4.3-inches screen with a 1280 x 720 (HD) resolution, making everything look beautiful and brightful. This screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This phone features wifi connectivity (and it can share it with other devices around, acting as a wireless router), HSPA+ (4G) data connection, which is not so fast as LTE networks and fast 3G connectivity, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone works with a SIM card for GSM carriers.

This phone features two cameras, a 13 MP back camera and a 2 megapixels front-facing camera. It is also able to shoot Full HD 1920x1080 videos at 30 frames per second, and slow motion videos in 1280x720 (HD) at 90 frames per second (3 times slower ). This camera also counts with flash.

The Xiaomi Mi-2S also includes a couple of useful features like Bluetooth, GPS Navigation and Radio, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This phone has a 2000 mAh medium capacity Li-Ion removable battery, which is quite poor for a demanding cellphone like this.

This cellphone is priced around $ 169, not so cheap for comparing with similar phones. This cellphone is the correct option for you no matter whether you you love taking photographs, need a cellphone to play tons of games, will use it majorly for social networks or will use it for work.
