Samsung Galaxy Premier is a very solid Android phone released back in the year 2012, including a great 1.5 GHz Dual-Core processing unit, a medium sized 4.7" screen, and 2 cameras, an 8 mega-pixels back-facing camera and a 1.9 megapixels front-facing camera.
Samsung decided to build this phone with a TI OMAP4470 chip, holding an extremely fast Dual-Core CPU speeding at 1.5 gigahertz and only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little bit disappointing for a cellphone this good. Graphic rendering generally eats lots of CPU cycles, so it counts with an extra PowerVR SGX544 GPU running at 384 megahertz to unload the processor. A nice advantage of this cellphone is its quite large 8 GB internal memory and an external memory slot, allowing you to install hundreds of applications without worrying about space.
This phone is slim and practical, with a thickness of just 0.35". This device is a compact phone, taking into account that it packs a 4.7" screen and it has just 5.27" long and 2.68" wide. Samsung has made an amazing optimization job making the Premier weight just 4.59 ounces.
The Premier features two cameras, an 8 megapixels back-facing camera and a 1.9 mega-pixels front camera. It also captures videos in 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30 fps. This phone also counts with flash.
Samsung packed this cellphone with a gorgeous 4.7-inches screen, and a resolution of 1280 x 720 (HD), giving this phone a perfect graphic quality. Its screen uses Super AMOLED capacitive technology, and can detect multiple fingers at the same time.
This phone uses a 2100 mAh long lasting Li-Ion battery, which isn't too much for a phone like this. Samsung informs a talk time of 21.7 hs and a stand by time of 790 hours for this phone.
The Premier has wifi connectivity (and it can be provided to other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), 4G (HSPA+) connectivity, which is not as fast as LTE or LTE-A 4G networks and fast 3G connectivity, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This cellphone uses a Micro SIM card to connect to GSM networks.
This phone also comes with a couple nice characteristics like NFC (to trigger actions, transfer data or make payments by holding your device close to another NFC device or tag), Bluetooth (provides communication with other devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS Geolocation, and lots of sensors like Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
This phone costs about $ 125, quite high for comparing with other similar cellphones. No matter if you you love taking photos, need a phone mostly for internet broswing and social networks, want a device for work or want a gamer phone, this phone is definitely a great choice .
