Comparison review
HTC Desire 816 is just a bit better than the CAT S42, getting a score of 65.1 against 59.4. The HTC Desire 816 is an extremely older cellphone than CAT S42, but it's a lot lighter and much thinner anyway. Both of these phones use Android OS (operating system), but HTC Desire 816 has newer 4.4.2 version while CAT S42 has Android 10, providing lots of additional features and some performance improvements.
HTC Desire 816 counts with just a bit better processing power than CAT S42, because although it has less RAM, and they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the HTC Desire 816 also counts with a graphics processor. The HTC Desire 816 has a bit sharper display than CAT S42, although it has a quite lower resolution of 1280 x 720px and a bit lower pixels density, they both have a same size display.
CAT S42 counts with a superior memory capacity to store more games and applications than HTC Desire 816, and although they both have an external SD slot that allows up to 128 GB, the CAT S42 also has 32 GB internal memory capacity. The HTC Desire 816's camera is just as good as the CAT S42 one, and although the HTC Desire 816 has a tinier camera aperture which is not nice for capturing photographs and/or video in poorly lited environments, they both have the same 1920x1080 video resolution, the same video frame rates and a 13 mega-pixels camera.
The CAT S42 features a way better battery life than HTC Desire 816, because it has a 4200mAh battery capacity instead of 2600mAh.
HTC Desire 816 is not only the best phones of the ones we are comparing, but it's also cheap compared to the CAT S42.
