Both devices in this review work with the same Android 11 OS, so both of them should provide you very similar OS features.

Sony Xperia 1 II counts with a bit superior processing unit than Galaxy M30s, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 1 II also has more RAM. Sony Xperia 1 II has a better looking screen than Galaxy M30s, because it has a little bigger display, a way better 1644 x 3840 resolution and way more pixels per inch in the display.

Xperia 1 II features a superior storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy M30s, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 1000 GB and 192 GB more internal storage. Samsung Galaxy M30s counts with a little bit better camera than Sony Xperia 1 II, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor, a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for low-light photography and slower 30 fps video frame rate, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy M30s also counts with a much higher resolution camera in the back.
