Sony Xperia 1 III has a score of 93.3, which is much better than Huawei P20's 78.1 general score. These phones work with Android OS, but the Sony Xperia 1 III has the older 11 version while Huawei P20 has Android 9.0 Pie. The Sony Xperia 1 III body is incredibly newer than Huawei P20's, but it's just a bit thicker and somewhat heavier.
The Sony Xperia 1 III features just a bit better performance than Huawei P20, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has 8 GB more RAM. Xperia 1 III features a better screen than Huawei P20, because it has a quite bigger display, a better screen pixel density and a way higher 1644 x 3840 resolution.
The Xperia 1 III shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Huawei P20, and although they both have the same video definition and a 12 mega-pixels back facing camera, the Xperia 1 III also has faster video frame rates, a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light captures and a way bigger back-facing camera sensor taking way better quality photographs.
Sony Xperia 1 III features a superior memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei P20, because it has a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 1 TB and 256 GB internal storage capacity. The Sony Xperia 1 III has superior battery performance than Huawei P20, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Huawei P20, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Huawei P20. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia 1 III, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Huawei P20, resigning a couple features and specifications.
