Sony Xperia 1 III has an overall score of 93.3, which is much better than Motorola Moto Z4's global score of 79.8. Both devices we are comparing here include Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia 1 III has 11 version and Motorola Moto Z4 has Android 10 version, so it offers lots of additional features. Sony Xperia 1 III is a a lot newer cellphone than Motorola Moto Z4, but it is somewhat heavier and a little thicker.

Xperia 1 III features a brighter screen than Motorola Moto Z4, because it has a much greater amount of pixels per inch in the screen, a much better 1644 x 3840 resolution and a quite larger screen. The Xperia 1 III features a little better performance than Motorola Moto Z4, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia 1 III also has 8 GB more RAM memory.

Xperia 1 III counts with much more memory for games and applications than Moto Z4, because it has an external memory card slot that supports up to 1 TB and 128 GB more internal memory capacity. Motorola Moto Z4 takes a little bit better photographs and videos than Xperia 1 III, because although it has slower video frame rate and a smaller camera sensor capturing lower quality videos and images, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and a same size camera aperture, the Motorola Moto Z4 also counts with a way higher resolution camera in the back.

Xperia 1 III counts with better battery life than Moto Z4, because it has a 25% more battery capacity.

Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Motorola Moto Z4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Motorola Moto Z4. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Motorola Moto Z4, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
