Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 1 III is better than the Galaxy Note Edge, having a global score of 93.3 against 81.7. The Sony Xperia 1 III design is newer and just a little thinner than Galaxy Note Edge's, although it's also just a bit heavier. Both phones in this review use Android OS, but Sony Xperia 1 III has a more recent 11 version while Galaxy Note Edge has Android 5.0, providing the user a couple additional features.

Sony Xperia 1 III features a little better processing power than Galaxy Note Edge, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and 4 more cores. The Galaxy Note Edge features just a bit better screen than Sony Xperia 1 III, although it has a little inferior pixel number in each inch of display, a way lower 2560 x 1440 resolution and a little bit smaller display.

Xperia 1 III counts with a very superior storage for games and applications than Galaxy Note Edge, because it has a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 1 TB and more internal memory capacity. The Xperia 1 III shoots clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, because although it has a worse 3840x2160 video quality and a lot less megapixels resolution camera, it also counts with a much larger aperture to take better photography and videos in low light situations and a lot larger sensor shooting way better quality videos and photographs.

The Xperia 1 III has a way better battery duration than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.

Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy Note Edge, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy Note Edge. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Sony Xperia 1 III, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy Note Edge, letting go some features and specifications.
