Xperia 1 III has an overall score of 93.3, which is better than Galaxy S6 edge+'s overall score of 79.3. Even though Xperia 1 III is newer than Galaxy S6 edge+, it is heavier and thicker. Both of these phones have Android OS (Operating System), but the Xperia 1 III has a more recent 11 version and Galaxy S6 edge+ has Android 5.1 version, counting with some nice extra features and performance tweaks.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ counts with a bit better looking display than Xperia 1 III, although it has a little bit smaller screen, a way lower resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a little bit worse pixels density. Xperia 1 III counts with much more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 1 TB and 192 GB more internal memory.
The Xperia 1 III counts with a quite better hardware performance than Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has more RAM and 7 more cores. The Xperia 1 III features a way better battery performance than Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.
