Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 is a bit better than Google Nexus 6P, getting a score of 82.6 against 80.3. The Sony Xperia 1 body has the same weight than Google Nexus 6P, but it's just a little bit thicker. The Sony Xperia 1 has a much better display than Google Nexus 6P, because it has a better resolution of 1644 x 3840, a bit better pixel density and a little bigger screen.
The Sony Xperia 1 features a bit better hardware performance than Google Nexus 6P, and although they both have 8 cores, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a higher amount of RAM memory. Google Nexus 6P captures clearer videos and photos than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for shooting pictures or video in low-light situations, and they both have the same video quality, the Google Nexus 6P also counts with a higher 12.3 megapixels resolution back facing camera, a bigger back camera sensor which gives a better photo and video quality and faster 30 fps video frame rates.
The Xperia 1 has a way bigger memory for games and applications than Google Nexus 6P, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal memory, the Xperia 1 also has a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 512 GB. Google Nexus 6P features just a bit longer battery duration than Xperia 1, because it has a 4% greater battery capacity.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Nexus 6P, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Google Nexus 6P. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Xperia 1, else you can save some dollars and buy the Google Nexus 6P, giving up some specs and features.
