Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 is a little bit better than Huawei P20, getting an 82.6 score against 78.1. Sony Xperia 1's design is newer, but just a little bit thicker and a little bit heavier than the Huawei P20. The Xperia 1 counts with a bit superior processing unit than Huawei P20, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xperia 1 also has a higher amount of RAM.
The Xperia 1 features a sharper screen than Huawei P20, because it has a better pixels count per inch of screen, a little bigger display and a much higher 1644 x 3840px resolution. The Xperia 1 has a very superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Huawei P20, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage, the Xperia 1 also has an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB.
The Huawei P20 counts with a bit longer battery performance than Xperia 1, because it has 3400mAh of battery capacity instead of 3330mAh. The Huawei P20 counts with a slightly better camera than Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have a back camera with a 12 MP resolution and the same video quality, the Huawei P20 also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a higher image quality and higher video frame rate.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Huawei P20, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei P20. If you are trying to save some money, you can get Huawei P20, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
