The Sony Xperia 1 has a global score of 82.6, which is slightly better than Motorola DROID Turbo's score of 77.9. Sony Xperia 1's construction is much newer and noticeably thinner, but a bit heavier than the Motorola DROID Turbo. Xperia 1 counts with a bit better CPU than Motorola DROID Turbo, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a greater number of cores and a higher amount of RAM memory.

Motorola DROID Turbo has a bit better looking display than Xperia 1, although it has a really smaller screen, a lot lower 2560 x 1440 resolution and a just a bit inferior pixels quantity in each inch of screen. The Xperia 1 counts with a much better storage to install applications and games than Motorola DROID Turbo, because it has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB and 128 GB internal memory.

Motorola DROID Turbo features a bit better camera than Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Motorola DROID Turbo also counts with a much higher resolution camera in the back. The Motorola DROID Turbo counts with better battery duration than Xperia 1, because it has a 3900mAh battery capacity instead of 3330mAh.

Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Motorola DROID Turbo, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Motorola DROID Turbo. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Motorola DROID Turbo, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your budget.
