Comparison review

Sony Xperia 1 is a little bit better than the Moto Z4, getting a general score of 82.6 against 79.8. Even being the best phone in our current comparison, Sony Xperia 1 is a just a little thicker and just a little heavier phone than Moto Z4. Xperia 1 has just a little better processing power than Moto Z4, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 1 also has a greater amount of RAM.

The Sony Xperia 1 features a better looking screen than Moto Z4, because it has a way higher pixel density, a quite larger display and a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels. Motorola Moto Z4 shoots better photos and videos than Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier camera aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Motorola Moto Z4 also counts with faster 30 frames per second video frame rate, a lot bigger camera sensor shooting way better quality videos and photos and a back facing camera with much more MP.

Moto Z4 counts with as much storage capacity for games and applications as the Sony Xperia 1 one, both of them have a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 512 GB and exactly the same internal storage. Moto Z4 counts with a bit longer battery life than Xperia 1, because it has an 8% larger battery size.

Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Motorola Moto Z4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Motorola Moto Z4. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Xperia 1, else you can save some money and get the Motorola Moto Z4, giving up a couple features and specs.
