Xperia 1 has a general score of 82.6, which is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+'s overall score of 79.3. The Xperia 1 is a notably newer phone than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, although it is somewhat thicker and somewhat heavier. Sony Xperia 1 counts with a faster processor than Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a greater number of faster cores and a higher amount of RAM.

The Xperia 1 has a bit more vivid display than Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has a quite larger display, a little better display pixel density and a higher resolution of 1644 x 3840. Galaxy S6 edge+ features a slightly better camera than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a 0.38 inches sensor, the Galaxy S6 edge+ also counts with faster video frame rate and a much more mega pixels back facing camera.

The Xperia 1 counts with a much greater storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, because it has 64 GB more internal storage capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Sony Xperia 1, else you can save some money and buy the Galaxy S6 edge+, letting go some features and specs.
