Comparison review
The Xperia 1 has a global score of 82.6, which is a bit better than the Xperia XZ2's overall score of 79.1. Xperia 1's body is newer, somewhat lighter and thinner than the Xperia XZ2. The Xperia 1 features a bit better looking display than Sony Xperia XZ2, because although it has much darker display, it also counts with a little larger screen, a way better 1644 x 3840px resolution and a lot greater pixel amount per inch of screen.
Sony Xperia 1 counts with a bit faster CPU than Xperia XZ2, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Sony Xperia XZ2 features just a bit better camera than Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low light photography, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ2 also counts with better video frame rate, a larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a lot more MP camera in the back.
The Sony Xperia 1 features a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ2, because it has 128 GB internal memory and a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB. Xperia 1 has just a bit better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ2, because it has 3330mAh of battery capacity.
