The Galaxy A8 Star has an overall score of 82.1, which is a bit better than the Sony Xperia 10 Plus's general score of 75.4. Even though the Galaxy A8 Star and Sony Xperia 10 Plus were released only 6 months apart, the Galaxy A8 Star construction is a little heavier but just a bit thinner. Sony Xperia 10 Plus features a bit sharper display than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a little bit larger display, a just a little higher pixels density and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels.

The Xperia 10 Plus features a little bit better memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Xperia 10 Plus also has an external memory card slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star features just a little better hardware performance than Xperia 10 Plus, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also has more RAM.

Samsung Galaxy A8 Star features longer battery performance than Xperia 10 Plus, because it has a 3700mAh battery size instead of 3000mAh. Galaxy A8 Star has a slightly better camera than Sony Xperia 10 Plus, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the same video quality and the same sensor size, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a way higher 16 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and a bigger diafragm aperture.
