Comparison review
Sony Xperia XZ1 is just a bit better than Xperia 10 Plus, getting a global score of 78.3 against 75.4. The Sony Xperia XZ1 design is somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter than the Xperia 10 Plus, despite of the fact that it was released only 18 months before. The Sony Xperia XZ1 counts with a little sharper display than Xperia 10 Plus, because although it has a bit worse 1080 x 1920 resolution and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit greater number of pixels in each inch in the display.
Xperia XZ1 features much more storage to store more games and applications than Xperia 10 Plus, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Xperia XZ1 also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Xperia XZ1 has a bit more powerful CPU than Xperia 10 Plus. Both have 4 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores.
The Xperia XZ1 has just a bit better camera than Xperia 10 Plus, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for capturing photos and/or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same video resolution, the Xperia XZ1 also counts with a back facing camera with way more MP and a larger sensor.
Xperia 10 Plus features a little better battery duration than Sony Xperia XZ1, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity against 2700mAh.
Although Sony Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Sony Xperia 10 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Sony Xperia 10 Plus. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Sony Xperia 10 Plus, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your money.
