Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is much better than the Xperia 10, with an 82.1 score against 73.7. Even though Samsung Galaxy A8 Star and Xperia 10 were released with only a few months difference, Samsung Galaxy A8 Star's body is heavier but a little thinner than Xperia 10. Galaxy A8 Star has a little faster processor than Xperia 10, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a greater amount of RAM.

The Sony Xperia 10 features a slightly better looking screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit greater pixel number in each inch of display and a little bit higher 1080 x 2520 resolution. The Xperia 10 counts with a bit bigger storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Xperia 10 also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 512 GB.

The Galaxy A8 Star has longer battery lifetime than Xperia 10, because it has 3700mAh of battery capacity. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star shoots much better pictures and videos than Xperia 10, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also has a bigger diafragm aperture to take better low-light captures and video, a larger sensor shooting better quality pictures and a higher 16 mega pixels resolution camera in the back.
