Comparison review
The Xperia 5 II is just a bit better than the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, having a global score of 87.2 against 84.2. Xperia 5 II is an older cellphone than the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, but Sony made it somewhat thinner and a lot lighter anyway. The Xperia 5 II has a much better processing power than Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, although it has 8 GB less RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro features a better screen than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has a bit lower 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a bit worse pixel density, it also counts with a quite larger screen. Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a better memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia 5 II, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage.
Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro counts with a much longer battery life than Sony Xperia 5 II, because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity. Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro takes much clearer photos and videos than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for taking pictures in low light environments, it also counts with a back camera with much more megapixels, a much higher video definition and a bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing higher quality videos and pictures.
