Xperia 5 II is just a bit better than Google Pixel 2, getting an 87.2 score against 81.6. The Xperia 5 II is a somewhat heavier device than Google Pixel 2, but both are equally thin. Sony Xperia 5 II has a little bit better looking display than Google Pixel 2, because it has a just a bit more pixels per inch of display, a bigger screen and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2520px.

The Sony Xperia 5 II features a bit faster CPU than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a higher amount of RAM. Sony Xperia 5 II has a bit better camera than Google Pixel 2, because although it has a back facing camera with lesser MP resolution and a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, it also counts with a larger aperture for better low light photos and video and a way bigger back camera sensor which provides a lot higher photo and video quality.

The Sony Xperia 5 II has a much better storage capacity to install games and applications than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a SD memory slot that allows up to 1000 GB. The Xperia 5 II features a way better battery duration than Google Pixel 2, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia 5 II is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Google Pixel 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Pixel 2. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 5 II, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Google Pixel 2, resigning a couple specs and features.
