Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 5 II has a score of 87.2, which is much better than the OnePlus 8's general score of 76. Sony Xperia 5 II is a just a bit lighter cellphone than OnePlus 8, but both are 0.31inches thick. The OnePlus 8's CPU is very similar to the processing unit in Sony Xperia 5 II, both of them have a 8 GB RAM memory and 8 cores.

OnePlus 8 features a bit better display than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a little worse resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a just a bit less pixels per screen inch, it also counts with a bit bigger display. The OnePlus 8 counts with a superior camera than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not favorable for shooting photographs and/or video in low light environments, worse video frame rates and a smaller camera sensor capturing less light and washed colors, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the OnePlus 8 also counts with a back camera with much more megapixels.

The Xperia 5 II counts with a superior storage capacity for games and applications than OnePlus 8, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Xperia 5 II also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 1000 GB. The OnePlus 8 features just a bit better battery duration than Xperia 5 II, because it has a 4300mAh battery size against 4000mAh.

Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it is way more expensive than OnePlus 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the OnePlus 8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Xperia 5 II, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the OnePlus 8, letting go a couple specs and features.
