Xperia 5 III has a score of 90.5, which is just a bit better than iPhone 8's 85 overall score. The Xperia 5 III body is much newer than the iPhone 8's, but it's a little thicker and somewhat heavier. Xperia 5 III has just a bit better looking screen than Apple iPhone 8, because it has a way better 1080 x 2520 pixels resolution, a greater number of pixels per inch in the screen and a bigger screen.
Xperia 5 III features a superior memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than iPhone 8, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Xperia 5 III also has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 1 TB. Apple iPhone 8 features a bit better CPU than Sony Xperia 5 III, because although it has 6 GB lesser RAM and less and slower CPU cores, it also counts with a 64 bits processing unit.
Xperia 5 III has a way better battery lifetime than Apple iPhone 8, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 1821mAh. Xperia 5 III has a bit better camera than Apple iPhone 8, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same resolution back facing camera, the Xperia 5 III also has a bigger aperture to take better images and video in poorly lited environments, a way larger back-facing camera sensor providing a way higher image quality and higher video frame rate.
