Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 5 III has an overall score of 90.5, which is better than the OnePlus 8's global score of 76. The Sony Xperia 5 III body is newer and a little lighter than the OnePlus 8's, but it is a little bit thicker. OnePlus 8 has just a bit better looking display than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a little bit worse display density and a quite lower 1080 x 2400px resolution, it also counts with a little bit larger screen.
Sony Xperia 5 III counts with a much better storage capacity for apps and games than OnePlus 8, because it has more internal memory and an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 1 TB. The OnePlus 8's processor is very similar to Xperia 5 III's processor, they have 8 cores and a 8 GB RAM. The Sony Xperia 5 III has a little better battery performance than OnePlus 8, because it has a 5% more battery capacity.
The OnePlus 8 has a slightly better camera than Xperia 5 III, because although it has lower video frame rates, a smaller back-facing camera sensor capturing worse quality photos and videos and a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for shooting pictures and video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the OnePlus 8 also counts with a back-facing camera with much more megapixels.
