OnePlus 8 is slightly better than Xperia 5 IV, with a global score of 76 against 73.3. The OnePlus 8 body is just a little thinner but a bit heavier than Xperia 5 IV. OnePlus 8 features a very superior hardware performance than Xperia 5 IV. Both of them have a 8 GB RAM memory and a Octa-Core CPU. OnePlus 8 features a sharper display than Sony Xperia 5 IV, because although it has a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a little inferior quantity of pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a little larger screen.
Xperia 5 IV has a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than OnePlus 8, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory, the Xperia 5 IV also has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 1 TB. The OnePlus 8 shoots greater videos and photos than Sony Xperia 5 IV, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor capturing lower quality images, it also counts with a back camera with a lot higher resolution.
Sony Xperia 5 IV features improved battery life than OnePlus 8, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity instead of 4300mAh.
