Comparison review
Sony Xperia 5 is a little bit better than the Asus ZenFone 6 (2019), having an 81 score against 77.8. The Sony Xperia 5 is a thinner and somewhat lighter phone than Asus ZenFone 6 (2019), even when both of them were released with only 4 months difference. Sony Xperia 5 and Asus ZenFone 6 (2019) have very similar processing units, both of them have the same number of cores and a 6 GB RAM.
The Xperia 5 has just a bit better screen than Asus ZenFone 6 (2019), because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a slightly higher 1080 x 2520 pixels resolution and a just a little more pixels per inch of screen. Asus ZenFone 6 (2019) features a superior camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Asus ZenFone 6 (2019) also counts with higher 60 fps video frame rates, a back camera with lot more mega-pixels and a way bigger back camera sensor taking much better quality photos and videos.
The Asus ZenFone 6 (2019) counts with just a bit bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia 5, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Asus ZenFone 6 (2019) has a very superior battery lifetime than Xperia 5, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Asus ZenFone 6 (2019), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Asus ZenFone 6 (2019). So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Xperia 5, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Asus ZenFone 6 (2019), giving up some features and specs.
