Comparison review
The Xperia 5 is just a bit better than HTC One M9, with a score of 81 against 77.7. Even though the Xperia 5 is just a little bit heavier than the HTC One M9, it's thinner and extremely newer. The HTC One M9 features a brighter display than Xperia 5, although it has a quite lower quantity of pixels per inch in the display, a quite lower 1920 x 1080 resolution and a little smaller screen.
The HTC One M9 counts with a bit better CPU than Xperia 5, because although it has 3 GB lesser RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with an extra graphics processing unit and a 64-bit processing unit. HTC One M9 takes a bit better photos and videos than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a lot smaller aperture which is not recommended for taking photographs and video in low light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same video frame rate, the HTC One M9 also counts with a bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a back facing camera with a way better resolution.
The Xperia 5 has a way bigger memory to store more apps and games than HTC One M9, because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 512 GB and 128 GB internal memory capacity. Xperia 5 features just a little better battery life than HTC One M9, because it has 3140mAh of battery capacity instead of 2840mAh.
Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC One M9. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Xperia 5, else you can save some money and buy the HTC One M9, giving up a couple specs and features.
