Xperia 5 has a bit superior battery duration than HTC U Ultra, because it has a 3140mAh battery size. The HTC U Ultra captures a little bit better videos and photos than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low light photos and videos, and they both have the same video resolution, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same resolution back-facing camera, the HTC U Ultra also counts with a bigger sensor capturing higher quality videos and photographs.

Sony Xperia 5 costs a bit more money than the HTC U Ultra, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
