Comparison review

Xperia 5 has an overall score of 81, which is a bit better than HTC U11's overall score of 77.6. Even though Xperia 5 is just a little thicker than the HTC U11, it's a bit lighter and also notably newer. The HTC U11 has a bit better looking display than Xperia 5, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per screen inch and a slightly higher resolution of 1440 x 2560.

Xperia 5 features a bit faster processor than HTC U11, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xperia 5 also has a greater amount of RAM memory. HTC U11 captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for capturing photographs or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same resolution back-facing camera, the HTC U11 also counts with a bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.

Xperia 5 features a much bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than HTC U11, because it has a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB and 64 GB more internal memory. The Xperia 5 features just a bit longer battery life than HTC U11, because it has 3140mAh of battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the HTC U11, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HTC U11. If you want to save some money, you can get the HTC U11, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
