Comparison review
Huawei Mate 30 is a bit better than the Xperia 5, having a general score of 84 against 81. Although it's the best in this review, we must highlight that it is also just a bit thicker and somewhat heavier. Huawei Mate 30 features a processing unit that's very similar to the Sony Xperia 5 one, and although the Huawei Mate 30 has 2 GB more RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The Sony Xperia 5 has a little bit better screen than Huawei Mate 30, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a little greater pixel density and a bit higher 1080 x 2520px resolution. The Huawei Mate 30 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, the Huawei Mate 30 also counts with a much more MP back-facing camera, higher video frame rates and a lot bigger sensor.
Xperia 5 features much more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Mate 30, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage, the Xperia 5 also has an external SD slot that supports up to 512 GB. Huawei Mate 30 has superior battery performance than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a 34 percent bigger battery size.
