Huawei Mate 40 Pro has an overall score of 90.9, which is much better than the Xperia 5's 81 global score. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro is a newer cellphone than the Xperia 5, but it is thicker and heavier. Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a bit more powerful processing unit than Xperia 5, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a little sharper screen than Xperia 5, because it has a just a bit better screen pixels density, a slightly higher 1334 x 2772 resolution and a little bigger display. Sony Xperia 5 counts with a slightly better memory for games and applications than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 512 GB.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a much longer battery life than Xperia 5, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity instead of 3140mAh.
