Comparison review
The Huawei Mate X2 has a score of 89.1, which is a bit better than Xperia 5's global score of 81. Huawei Mate X2's body has the same thickness than the Xperia 5, but it's incredibly heavier. Sony Xperia 5 counts with a bit sharper screen than Huawei Mate X2, because although it has a lot worse 1080 x 2520 resolution and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a bit greater display density.
The Huawei Mate X2 counts with a bit faster CPU than Xperia 5, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei Mate X2 also has more RAM memory. The Sony Xperia 5 counts with a slightly bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei Mate X2, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
Huawei Mate X2 has a much better camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for low-light photos and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Huawei Mate X2 also counts with a camera in the back with a much higher resolution.
Huawei Mate X2 features a much longer battery life than Xperia 5, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 3140mAh.
Although Huawei Mate X2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xperia 5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xperia 5. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Huawei Mate X2, otherwise you can save some money and get the Xperia 5, letting go a couple specs and features.
