Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 5 has an overall score of 81, which is a bit better than the Huawei nova 5T's general score of 80.8. Although Sony Xperia 5 and Huawei nova 5T were only released with a couple months difference, Sony Xperia 5's construction is just a bit thicker but just a little lighter. Xperia 5 counts with just a bit better processing power than Huawei nova 5T. They have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM amount.
The Xperia 5 has a bit sharper screen than Huawei nova 5T, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a little bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2520 and a just a little greater amount of pixels per inch in the screen. The Sony Xperia 5 features a lot bigger memory for games and applications than Huawei nova 5T, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
The Huawei nova 5T counts with a superior camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for shooting photographs in low-light environments, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Huawei nova 5T also counts with a much bigger back-facing camera sensor and a lot more megapixels camera in the back.
Huawei nova 5T has longer battery performance than Xperia 5, because it has a 19% greater battery size.
Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Huawei nova 5T, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Huawei nova 5T. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Xperia 5, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Huawei nova 5T, resigning a couple features and specifications.
