Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 5 is slightly better than the Microsoft Surface Duo, with an 81 score against 78.8. Sony Xperia 5 is an older and a lot thicker phone than Microsoft Surface Duo, but Sony could make it incredibly lighter anyway. The Xperia 5 counts with a little more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a lot worse 1080 x 2520 resolution and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little better pixel quantity per screen inch.

The Sony Xperia 5 has a superior memory for apps and games than Microsoft Surface Duo, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a SD memory slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Microsoft Surface Duo and Xperia 5 have incredibly similar processing units, they have 6 GB of RAM and a Octa-Core processor.

Sony Xperia 5 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has worse 30 fps video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Sony Xperia 5 also counts with a more MP back-facing camera and a larger aperture for better low light photography.

Microsoft Surface Duo has just a little better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a 14% bigger battery capacity.

Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Microsoft Surface Duo, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Microsoft Surface Duo. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia 5, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Microsoft Surface Duo, letting go a couple specs and features.
