Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is a bit better than Sony Xperia 5, getting a general score of 85.3 against 81. Microsoft Surface Duo 2's design is newer and much thinner, but also a lot heavier than Sony Xperia 5. Microsoft Surface Duo 2 features just a bit better looking display than Xperia 5, because although it has a just a bit worse quantity of pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a way bigger display and a better resolution of 1892 x 2688 pixels.
The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 features a CPU that's just as good as Xperia 5's processing unit, and although the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has more RAM, they both have the same number of cores. Xperia 5 has a much greater storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Xperia 5 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 features a much longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a 42% more battery size. The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 counts with a slightly better camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low-light photos and videos, and they both have a 12 megapixels back facing camera and the same (4K) video resolution, the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 also counts with better 60 fps video frame rates.
