Comparison review

The Xperia 5 has a general score of 81, which is slightly better than Moto G Power's overall score of 76.1. Even though Xperia 5 and the Moto G Power were released only 7 months apart, Xperia 5 is somewhat lighter and thinner. The Xperia 5 counts with just a bit better performance than Motorola Moto G Power, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xperia 5 also has a higher amount of RAM.

Sony Xperia 5 features a bit more vivid display than Moto G Power, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly better 1080 x 2520 resolution and a bit higher pixels count per display inch. Sony Xperia 5 counts with a lot bigger storage for apps and games than Motorola Moto G Power, and although they both have a SD memory slot that supports up to 512 GB, the Sony Xperia 5 also has 64 GB more internal memory capacity.

The Moto G Power features a much better battery performance than Xperia 5, because it has a 5000mAh battery size. Moto G Power captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier camera sensor taking lower quality videos and photographs and a smaller aperture which is not good for capturing photos and video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video resolution, the Moto G Power also counts with a camera in the back with a way better 16 mega-pixels resolution.

Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Moto G Power, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto G Power. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Xperia 5, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Moto G Power, letting go some features and specifications.
