Sony Xperia 5 has a score of 81, which is slightly better than Moto G9 Plus's global score of 80.5. Sony Xperia 5's body is somewhat thinner and noticeably lighter than Moto G9 Plus, despite of the fact that it was released just 11 months before. Sony Xperia 5 counts with a little faster processor than Moto G9 Plus, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 5 also has more RAM memory.

The Xperia 5 has a bit better looking screen than Moto G9 Plus, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit better pixel quantity per screen inch and a little bit higher 1080 x 2520 resolution. Moto G9 Plus and Xperia 5 both count with incredibly similar memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos, both of them have equal 128 GB internal storage and an external SD slot that allows up to 512 GB.

Moto G9 Plus features a very superior battery performance than Xperia 5, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3140mAh. The Motorola Moto G9 Plus counts with a much better camera than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for capturing pictures or videos in low light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Motorola Moto G9 Plus also counts with a much higher resolution camera in the back and a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a much better image quality.
