Comparison review

The Xperia 5 is a bit better than Moto Z3, getting an 81 score against 77.6. The Xperia 5 construction is newer than the Moto Z3's, but it is a little bit heavier and somewhat thicker. The Xperia 5 has a little sharper screen than Motorola Moto Z3, because it has a quite better screen pixel density, a little bigger screen and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2520.

The Sony Xperia 5 has a bit better performance than Moto Z3, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 5 also has 2 GB more RAM memory. The Motorola Moto Z3 has a slightly better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB.

The Sony Xperia 5 has just a bit longer battery performance than Motorola Moto Z3, because it has a 3140mAh battery capacity. Sony Xperia 5 has a bit better camera than Motorola Moto Z3, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, a back-facing camera with a 12 MP and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a larger back camera sensor providing a better image quality and a larger aperture.

Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Moto Z3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Moto Z3. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Xperia 5, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Moto Z3, resigning a couple features and specifications.
