Comparison review
Xperia 5 is a little bit better than OnePlus 8 UW, having an 81 score against 75.9. The Xperia 5 construction is a little thicker but just a little lighter than the OnePlus 8 UW, and both of them were released only a couple months apart. OnePlus 8 UW features a little more vivid screen than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a quite worse pixels number per screen inch and a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2400, it also counts with a quite bigger display.
Sony Xperia 5 features a much greater memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than OnePlus 8 UW, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 512 GB. The OnePlus 8 UW's CPU is very similar to the CPU in Xperia 5, and although the OnePlus 8 UW has a greater amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.
The OnePlus 8 UW features a really longer battery duration than Xperia 5, because it has a 37 percent bigger battery capacity. The OnePlus 8 UW takes greater videos and photos than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for shooting images or videos in low-light environments, and they both have the same video resolution, the OnePlus 8 UW also counts with a lot bigger back camera sensor capturing much higher quality videos and photographs, better video frame rate and a way more MP camera in the back.
Xperia 5 costs a bit more money than OnePlus 8 UW, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
