Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy A50 is slightly better than the Xperia 5, getting an 83.8 score against 81. Even though Samsung Galaxy A50 and the Xperia 5 were only released 7 months apart, the Samsung Galaxy A50 construction is a bit thinner but also a bit heavier. The Xperia 5 counts with a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy A50, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia 5 also has 2 GB more RAM.
Xperia 5 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy A50, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little higher pixels number in each inch in the screen and a slightly better 1080 x 2520 pixels resolution. The Samsung Galaxy A50's memory capacity to store more games and applications is very similar to the Xperia 5 one, they have a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB and the same 128 GB internal memory capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy A50 features improved battery performance than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a 27 percent more battery size. The Galaxy A50 counts with just a bit better camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for shooting photographs in low light environments and a tinier camera sensor which offers a lower image and video quality, and they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy A50 also counts with a back camera with much more mega pixels.
Despite of being the best phone of the ones we compare here, the Galaxy A50 is also a bargain compared to the other phones.
