Comparison review
Xperia 5 is just a bit better than Samsung Galaxy A70, having an 81 score against 76.9. The Xperia 5 design is a little bit thicker but lighter than the Samsung Galaxy A70, and both were released only a few months apart. Xperia 5 features a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy A70, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2520px and a little greater pixels amount in each display inch.
The Samsung Galaxy A70 and Xperia 5 feature very similar storage to install applications and games, both of them have equal 128 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 512 GB. The Xperia 5 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy A70. Both of them have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores.
Galaxy A70 has a much longer battery lifetime than Xperia 5, because it has a 43% more battery size. Sony Xperia 5 captures much better pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy A70, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a larger back-facing camera sensor which provides a better photo and video quality and a bigger camera aperture to take better low light images.
Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy A70, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy A70. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 5, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Galaxy A70, letting go some specs and features.
